Immigration Programs?

Home Child Care Provider Pilot and Home Support Worker Pilot
Both the Home Child Care Provider Pilot and Home Support Worker Pilot operate with two distinct categories

The Gaining Experience Category (if you have less than 12 months of qualifying experience i.e. NOC 44100 for Home Child care provider and NOC 44101 for Home Support Worker pilot)

The Direct to Permanent Residence Category (if you have 12 or more months of qualifying experience i.e. NOC 44100 for Home Child care provider and NOC 44101 for Home Support Worker pilot experience)

What process do I need to follow?
The process to apply for the Home Child Care Provider Pilot and Home Support Worker Pilot involves several steps. Here's an overview of the application process
Check Eligibility
Review the eligibility criteria for the respective pilot program you wish to apply for. Ensure that you meet the minimum requirements, including work experience, language proficiency, and educational qualifications.
Obtain a Job Offer
Secure a valid job offer from a Canadian employer for a full-time, permanent position as a Home Child Care Provider or Home Support Worker. The job offer must meet specific requirements outlined by the pilot program.
Gaining Experience Category (Optional)
If you are applying under the Gaining Experience Category, you need to have at least 12 months of Canadian work experience as a Home Child Care Provider or Home Support Worker within the last 36 months. This category is primarily for caregivers already working in Canada.
Submit Your Application
Prepare and submit your application for the Home Child Care Provider Pilot or Home Support Worker Pilot. Include all required documents, such as your job offer, work experience documentation, language test results, and educational credentials.
Immigration Medical Examination
Undergo a medical examination by a designated panel physician to ensure you meet the health requirements for immigration to Canada.
Police Clearance Certificate
Provide police clearance certificates from all countries you have lived in for six or more months since the age of 18. This is to demonstrate that you have no criminal record.
Application Processing
Wait for your application to be processed by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Processing times may vary, and you can check the current processing times on the official IRCC website.
Approval and Work Permit
If your application is approved, you will receive a work permit that allows you to work in Canada as a Home Child Care Provider or Home Support Worker.

Work as a caregiver in Canada to gain the required work experience and fulfill the conditions of the pilot program.
